Workplace Safety at Goucher College
Goucher College is committed to promoting a safe work environment for all employees. To that end, the college intends to comply with all applicable federal and state regulations relating to safety in the workplace. Because safety is a shared responsibility, employees are expected to become familiar with these policies and to engage in safe work practices. Goucher will provide training to employees to ensure that they can perform their job duties in a safe manner. Employees are encouraged to address questions or safety concerns to their supervisors.
Also, Goucher staff members are available to assist in answering any safety related questions. The college's Health and Safety Officer, Jon Ohman, can be reached at jon.ohman@goucher.edu. You should contact Jon if you have any questions about job safety. Hubert Zachary (Zach) is the college's chemical hygiene officer. If you have any questions about laboratory safety, direct them to Zach at hubert.zachary@goucher.edu.
