Alumnae and alumni now have expanded opportunities to enjoy the adventure of lifelong learning while traveling in the company of Goucher folks and their friends to a wide variety of destinations.
International Travel
The International Travel Committee was formed in 1999 to offer educationally enriched tours through carefully chosen tour operators who have an excellent reputation for quality and value. Proceeds from the International Travel program will benefit a broad spectrum of AAGC programs which support the mission of the association. Mid-Atlantic and Domestic Tours
Mid-Atlantic and domestic tours are organized by the Alumnae/i Tours Committee. For more than 30 years, these dedicated alumnae volunteers have managed an array of trips throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and other popular destinations around the country. As in the past, proceeds from this program directly benefit students. The success of the committee's program has generated an annual gift of $50,000 for scholarship aid in recent years. Committee Members
The AAGC would like to publicly acknowledge and thank the following dedicated volunteers, without whom the trips and travel programs would not exist. Collectively and over several decades, committee members have contributed thousands of hours developing and leading tours, producing brochures, and handling all of the administrative, registration, and bookkeeping work associated with trips enjoyed by thousands of participants. The Alumnae/i Tours Committee takes great pride in the gift they are able to present to the college's Greater Goucher Fund each year which directly benefits student scholarships.
If you enjoy traveling and would like to help organize and lead trips, please contact the Committee Chair for further information about rewarding volunteer opportunities. The International Travel Committee meets by conference call, so alumnae/i across the country and around the world can easily participate. The Alumnae/i Tours Committee meets quarterly in locations around Baltimore.
