Goucher Network
Students, faculty, and staff can connect computer workstations to the Goucher Network through:
- Network Outlets in residential rooms
- Network Outlets in classrooms, labs, and offices
- Wireless Network Access in selected campus buildings
- Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection through the Internet using an Internet Service Provider (ISP)
The Goucher network provides the college community with access to College computer servers, College computing resources, and the Internet. A Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection allows the college community to access campus computing resources in a secure fashion over the Internet. When students, faculty, and staff use an Internet Service Provider from an off-campus location to connect to the Internet, the VPN solution will allow the computer workstation to access campus computing resources like an on-campus computing workstation.
