Goucher’s Theatre Department presents Playworks— a festival that features one-act plays that are written, produced, directed, and designed by students—on Friday, May 8, through Sunday, May 10, at 8 p.m. in the college’s Mildred Dunnock Theatre.

This year, three short plays will be showcased each night during Playworks. In Accomplices, by Gregory Baer ’09, two brothers try to hide a serious secret from their mother. Set in a bathroom, Three Scenes in a Bathroom by A. Janosek Doyle ’09 tells three stories about an emotionally charged topic. Work Ethic by Marina Mamangakis ’11 deals with high-tension circumstances in a detective agency.
