Using the OneCard System
The OneCard is your electronic gateway to the campus. It serves as an identification card, an electronic "key" for access to campus buildings, a debit card for on and off campus spending and a Goucher library card. This guide explains the details of the OneCard's benefits and operations.
Goucher College is one of more than 400 colleges and universities in the United States using the Blackboard Transaction System to operate their campus debit card. The system's quick response time provides instantaneous storage and retrieval of information, making it a useful financial tool with additional applications in access security.
Advantages of the OneCard Safety: Because money is deposited directly in your account, there's no need to carry large amounts of cash on campus.
Simplicity: You won't have to search for exact change to do laundry at midnight, to make last minute photocopies before class, or to satisfy a late night "snack attack." Use your OneCard for these purchases, and eliminate the hassle of finding change for laundry, copier, and vending machines!
Security: Your OneCard includes your picture. To prevent unauthorized use of the card, cashiers are instructed to verify your picture with each transaction.
