The Sarah T. Hughes Center for Politics

Funded by an endowment made by the late Judge Sarah T. Hughes 1917, the Sarah T. Hughes Center for Politics was originally founded in the early 1950s under a grant from the Maurice and Laura Falk Foundation.

The center sponsors a variety of activities designed to facilitate student involvement in governmental and political affairs

The Hughes Center conducts the Goucher College Poll, which surveys citizens across Maryland on the most important political, social, and economic issues of the day.
