David Miller M.Ed. '97 published a book entitled, “Gabe & His Green Thumb,” which tells the story of a boy who discovers the power of growing food. Miller hopes the book will get students of color excited about reading early and often.

Laura Tillman M.F.A. '13 signed a contract for her second book entitled, "The Hundred Lives of Lalo." The book details the life of chef Eduardo "Lalo" Garcia, whose odyssey raises larger questions about the relationship between the U.S. and Mexico, the immigrant experience, and the politics of Mexican food on the global stage.
