Opening Reception & Awards

An Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony will be held Wednesday, April 26, from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. in the Rosenberg Art Gallery.

About the Exhibit

The Annual Student Art Showcase is open to all Goucher College students who have taken studio art classes during the 2016-2017 academic year. The work is juried by the art department faculty and installed by Laura Amussen, director of exhibitions and curator and student gallery assistants. Three monetary awards will be given in the following amounts: 1st-$300, 2nd-$200 and 3rd-$100. The indomitable Doreen Bolger, former director of the Baltimore Museum of Art, will be choosing the award winners this year.

The Rosenberg Gallery is free and open to the public.  This exhibit can be viewed Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Rosenberg Gallery program is funded with the assistance of grants from the Maryland State Arts Council, an agency funded by the State of Maryland and the National Endowment for the Arts and the Baltimore County Commission on the Arts and Sciences.
