Spring Reopening Update

Dear Goucher community,

In preparation for the Spring semester, the Spring 2021 Reopening Task Force has been meeting regularly to review all aspects related to students returning next semester. The Reopening Task Force completed much work over the summer in anticipation of welcoming students back in the fall. Still, we continue to review health trends and best practices regarding course delivery, COVID19 testing plans, housing, dining, athletics, and student events. We intend to confirm and communicate our entire spring semester reopening plan by November 1 in advance of the start of spring registration on November 9.

We are working towards welcoming back students residentially with some limitations. The academic calendar has been approved with classes beginning on Monday, February 8, and courses will be offered both in-person and online. Decisions regarding room draw, athletic schedules, and student activities will be made soon. The taskforce will send updates regularly as we advance through the end of this semester.
