Demand and Growth
Health Services is a sector of the economy growing at a rate much faster than average (bls.gov). A search on Indeed.com generates 7,200 open positions under Health Services Manager, with a mean salary of 45K at the bachelor’s level. Health care practitioners are in short supply, as are the administrators to manage those practices.
A Health Resources and Services Administration report (2018) supports these data, stating that by 2030, an estimated 3.4 million direct health care workers will be needed to support the long term care needs of the nation--and managers and administrators will be required to organize and manage this workforce (bhw.hrsa.gov).
