Post-Master's Professional Development Certificates
All certificates can be completed online, in-person, hybrid, or accelerated online.
In each area of specialization, advanced graduate work may be pursued beyond the master's degree to receive a professional development certificate. Applicants are required to have completed a master's degree in education or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
Requirements for the professional development certificate involve the completion of 20-22 graduate credits including:
- the requirements from the chosen area of specialization, and
- additional credits from the core, clinical, or elective courses offered through the master's program
Through this certificate program, students are given the flexibility to create a program of study that will best serve their needs as teachers and/or administrators.
*Students participating in the Graduate & Professional Studies nine Professional Development Certificate programs are not eligible to receive federal financial aid.
