Post-Master's Professional Development Certificates
All certificates are now offered fully online, in addition to traditional in-person programs!
In each area of specialization, advanced graduate work may be pursued beyond the master's degree to receive a professional development certificate. Applicants are required to have completed a master's degree in education or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
Requirements for the professional development certificate involve the completion of 20-21 graduate credits including:
- the requirements from the chosen area of specialization, and
- additional credits from the core, clinical or elective courses offered through the master's program
Through this certificate program, students are given the flexibility to create a program of study that will best serve their needs as teachers and/or administrators.
**Students with a Professional Development Certificate program are not eligible to transfer previous graduate credit from another institution towards their program.
**Students participating in the Graduate & Professional Studies eight Professional Development Certificate programs are not eligible to receive federal financial aid.
