M.A. in Historic Preservation lecturer Stuart Meck passed away on April 15, 2018. Stuart was a core faculty member in the MAHP program who regularly taught his course on Urban History. We thank him for his years of dedicated teaching at Goucher College.

Selina Morales has been selected to participate in the American Folklore Society's 2018 China-Japan-US Summer Folklore Institute, which will take place at the School for Advanced Research in Santa Fe.

Seven undergraduate and graduate students were nominated to participate in the Teachers of Promise Institute, a one-day institute for educators who demonstrate high academic achievement and teaching skills.

In Shaker Life, Shelley Stokes-Hammond MAHP '11 discusses her upbringing and her master's thesis "Recognizing Ludlow - A National Treasure: A Community that Stood Firm for Equality," in which she highlights the importance of the Ludlow Community Association in the context of the national civil rights movement.

M.A. in Cultural Sustainability student Nicole Guzenski ’18 has been chosen as a finalist for the Fulbright-Nehru Student Research Fellowship. She is the first graduate student at Goucher College to be named a Fulbright finalist.
