The John Cotton Dana Award
The Goucher College Library received the John Cotton Dana Library Public Relations Award, the most prestigious award offered by the American Library Association, in 2003. Sponsored by the H.W. Wilson Company and the ALA Library Administration and Management Association Public Relations Section, the award honored the Library for 25 Years of Jane Austen, a series of promotional pieces and activities celebrating the college's 25th year housing the large collection of books and other materials bequeathed by Austen enthusiasts Alberta and Henry Burke.
