Library Web to Have New Look!

Below is a screen shot of the new library homepage. Launch is set for mid-August!  Most of the links will be familiar, but some may have moved around, some are new, and some may be now found in the Show More sections in each category.  One big change is that the catalog search is now top and center, with tabs for frequently used services: WorldCat, the Goucher Journals List, and the Renew your Books page.

You will also notice a more prominent space for the library's Special Collections & Archives pages; we wanted more online visibility for our wonderful collections, to match their fine new space in the Athenaeum, where visitors and researchers are welcome!  Library News has also moved up from its former space at the bottom of the page, so you can see our features at a glance.

The most radical change is that the Articles and Databases section (see fuzzy image below!) is now arranged by subject. You'll still be able to get one-click access to the general and most used databases, and also to the entire alphabetic list of databases. But you'll also find a page for each subject with suggested databases for that topic.  Helpful new Research guides for several subjects are also here, with more to come.
