Special Collections & Archives

Special Collections & Archives is a unique and rich collection of rare books, manuscripts, archives, photographs, audio visual materials, oral histories and artifacts that actively supports the academic mission of the College in teaching, research, scholarship, and community enrichment. The collections support primary research in many disciplines including art and art history, dance, English, British and U.S. history, women's studies, peace studies, and artist's books. Notable collections include the James Wilson Bright Collection of 17th-19th century English printed books and one of the world’s foremost collections of works by and about Jane Austen and the Regency Period. Students, faculty, and outside researchers are encouraged to explore our unique collections. We offer research and instructional support.
