Introducing the 2019 Kratz Center Summer Writing Fellows
We congratulate the winners of the Kratz Center Summer Writing Fellowship.
Every year, the Kratz Center for Creative Writing awards students with scholarships to fund internships, research, or travel related to their writing. The Kratz Summer Writing Fellowships range from $1,000 to $3,000 and are based on students’ writing samples—poetry, fiction and creative nonfiction prose, an excerpt from a novel, or a screenplay. For 2019, the fellowships have been awarded to Bailey Carroll ’20, Kallie Blakelock ’20, Katie Monthie ’19, Olivia Habib ’19, Ruut DeMeo ’20, Sandy Wilbur ’19, Micaela Beigel ’19, Hannah Dahm ’19, Elijah Brooks ’20, and Clara Symmes ’19. Goucher applauds these hardworking students and their daring explorations of the written word.
