asexual students, and to acknowledge their achievements and contributions to the college.
Sponsored by the Center for Race, Equity, and Identity (CREI). Alumnae/i are encouraged to attend! Please RSVP to alumni@goucher.edu or 410-337-6180.

Donning of the Kente Ceremony—an intimate ceremony in which graduating seniors will be donned with a stole of Kente,
a fabric native to Ghana. This cloth, reserved for special occasions, acts as a visual
history for the wearer's own cultural ethos. This is a rite of passage, rooted in
African tradition, "in which seniors [of color] recognize loved ones or mentors who
have been instrumental in their success." Sponsored by the Center for Race, Equity, and Identity (CREI). Alumnae/i are welcome to attend! Please RSVP to alumni@goucher.edu or 410-337-6180.
Thursday, May 24, 4:30 p.m. @ Kraushaar Auditorium
Baccalaureate—We invite all graduates, families, friends, faculty, and staff to reflect on the
meaning of the college experience and the transition of commencement, through responsive
readings, prayers from many religious and ethnic traditions in different languages,
music, and reflections from a graduate and a faculty or staff member. Tickets are
not required.
Friday, May 25, 10:30 a.m. @ the Margaret M. Winslow '69 Great Lawn
Goucher College's 127th Commencement Exercises—Alumnae/i, families, and friends of Goucher College are invited to be part of Goucher's
biggest day of the year! Please join us in celebrating the Class of 2018 upon their
day of graduation from Goucher. April D. Ryan, veteran White House correspondent, CNN political analyst and the Washington, DC
bureau chief for American Urban Radio Networks, will provide the keynote address. Tickets are not required, and seating is based on a first-available basis. For those
