Goucher partners with Loyola to offer graduate degree pathways for students
Goucher students can explore graduate degree opportunities with five Loyola graduate programs, including biological forensics, data science, forensic pattern analysis, school counseling, and business for emerging leaders.
Goucher College and Loyola University Maryland have announced an expanded partnership that will offer undergraduate Goucher students the opportunity to explore graduate degree opportunities with five Loyola graduate programs. This partnership builds on the existing Emerging Leaders M.B.A. partnership and has expanded to include four additional graduate programs. Beginning in Fall 2024, Loyola graduate programs offering Fast Track admissions to Goucher undergraduate students will also include Biological Forensics M.S., Data Science M.S., Forensic Pattern Analysis M.S., andSchool Counseling M.Ed. and M.A.
“Creating expanded educational opportunities with other respected and nationally recognized institutions offers tremendous value to our students,” said Ruquia Ahmed-Schofield, associate professor at Goucher College. “Goucher students will have the opportunity to build on their strong undergraduate arts and sciences foundation with one of these five dynamic and in-demand graduate programs.”
Goucher students accepted into these programs will enjoy a Fast Track admission process to the Loyola graduate programs, a 15% tuition discount, a waived application fee, and other program-specific incentives. The Fast Track admission partnership also allows Goucher undergraduate students to apply to one of these five Loyola master’s programs via a shortened application process. Students are encouraged to apply for Fast Track admission at the start of their final academic year at Goucher and must have an overall undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Goucher offers an array of academic partnership opportunities for dual undergraduate and graduate degrees in five years with many regarded institutions. In addition to Loyola, these 4+1 program pathways include partnerships with Johns Hopkins University, Middlebury College, and University of Maryland, Baltimore, as well as accelerated dual degree opportunities with Goucher’s graduate and professional studies programs.
