Michael Marshall, Ed.D., will be the new vice president for enrollment and student success
Goucher College is proud to announce that Michael Marshall, Ed.D., has been selected as the new vice president for enrollment and student success and will join the college community on July 1. Marshall, who has served in various higher education roles for more than 20 years, was selected through a comprehensive national search. He will serve on the President’s Cabinet and report directly to Goucher College President Kent Devereaux.
“Dr. Marshall’s comprehensive and diverse experience across higher education will further support the college’s efforts to develop strategic and innovative student-centered initiatives to expand student recruitment and retention,” says President Devereaux. “We look forward to welcoming him to the Goucher community and working together to advance the college’s mission.”
Marshall currently serves as the vice president for enrollment, marketing, and communication at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky. In his current role, he provides strategic leadership and enrollment planning for the Division of Enrollment, Marketing, and Communication, including undergraduate admission, graduate admission, financial aid, enrollment services, strategic enrollment partnerships, and marketing and communication. He has also served in and led enrollment services, student affairs, government relations, and scholars’ programs, among other positions, at Clark Atlanta University and Texas Christian University.
“I’m honored to lead enrollment and student success at Goucher, as it’s a place where legacy, learning, leadership, and location converge to shape a diverse and vibrant community. I’m inspired by the distinguished past, energized by the present, and encouraged by a bold vision for the future,” said Marshall. “To that end, I’m excited to engage and collaborate with President Devereaux and the rest of the Goucher family to continue attracting and nurturing the next generation of global changemakers.”
Marshall earned his bachelor of business administration from Mercyhurst University and his master of liberal arts and doctorate in educational leadership—higher education leadership from Texas Christian University.
