Goucher to receive American Passport Project grant
Goucher College has been selected to receive an IIE American Passport Project grant, which will be used to help students obtain a U.S. passport and support their study abroad experiences. Goucher is one of 40 colleges to have been awarded the grant.
Study abroad programs come with unexpected financial hurdles, like the cost of a passport, which can particularly affect students of limited means. That’s why Goucher’s Office of Global Education applied for the passport grant from the Institute of International Education (IIE), which is intended to promote diversity, inclusion, access, and equity in study abroad experiences.
With this support to help students get passports, Goucher will continue to focus on providing programming, advising, and additional support to all students as they prepare to take their education international.
