High Achievement Earns Goucher Students Nominations to Teachers of Promise Institute
Congratulations to the seven undergraduate and graduate students nominated to participate in the Teachers of Promise Institute!
Seven undergraduate and graduate students were nominated to participate in the Teachers of Promise Institute, a one-day institute for educators who demonstrate high academic achievement and teaching skills.

The goals of the Teachers of Promise Institute are to encourage college graduates to teach in Maryland and to provide them support as they transition from student to first-year teacher. Participating pre-service teachers also receive a Teachers of Promise State Certificate from the Maryland State Department of Education.
2014 National Teacher of the Year Sean McComb ’13 was among the speakers at the institute.
