Alumnae/i Volunteers Step Up For Spring-Break Student Programs
Goucher alumnae/i are making a difference for Goucher students during spring break this week:
Over twenty alumnae/i volunteers participated in Goucher's spring break “job shadow” program for current students. Coordinated by the Career Education Office, students were matched with alumnae/i professionals around the country who agreed to host them for “a day in the life and on the job.” Students got to experience work in different industries, from marketing companies in NY to DC think tanks, and more!
Another group of generous alumnae/i, and also a few parents, hosted Goucher choral students overnight in New York City while they were in town to rehearse and perform at Carnegie Hall! A number of hosts even attended the students’ concert March 19. Bravo everyone!
Finally, several young alumnae/i representatives attended yield events in 5 cities for admitted students. These Goucher grads were able to share their own Goucher experience and answer questions from potential Gopher families.
Thank you to all our volunteers!
