Goucher Students Recognized at 24th Annual Leadership Awards
More than two dozen Goucher students were recognized at the 24th Annual Student Leadership Awards on Wednesday, April 25.
More than two dozen Goucher students were recognized at the 24th Annual Student Leadership Awards on Wednesday, April 25.
The event, held in the Hyman Forum, honored students who have made substantial contributions to the Goucher community and beyond, whether it is through civic activism, environmental sustainability, or community service.
“You have made an enormous difference,” says Goucher President José Antonio Bowen. “I’m very proud and grateful for you.”

The students were nominated by faculty, staff, and students. Ultimately, a selection committee consisting of faculty, staff and students: Amber Barnett, Lee Gerstein, Dr. Phong Le ’03, Dr. Lana Oweidat, Thomas J. Smith ’17, and Guadalupe Sosa ’18—made the decisions based off of the nominations and student presentations.
