The 2023 U.S. News & World Report rankings again recognize Goucher College as one of the best national liberal arts colleges and one of the country’s most innovative national liberal arts colleges.
The 2023 U.S. News & World Report rankings again recognize Goucher College as one of the best national liberal arts colleges and one of the most innovative national liberal arts colleges. Goucher also continued to be noted for having one of the best study abroad programs to look for and being ranked as one of the top performers on social mobility among national liberal arts colleges. The college was also recognized for campus ethnic diversity.
“We are proud that Goucher continues to be nationally recognized for excellence and that our focus on a rigorous liberal arts curriculum, career experience, and global education supports our student’s success,” said Goucher College President Kent Devereaux. “Goucher offers an innovative and transformative education that provides tremendous value, opportunities, and social mobility for our students.”
Goucher has long been a leader in global education, as the college offers 60+ flexible programs around the world for students to develop international experience, with 100% of Goucher students studying abroad at no additional cost. Furthering its commitment to global education this year, Goucher announced a partnership with Middlebury College to offer four new 4+1 master’s degree programs.
Building on its innovative programs, Goucher and Johns Hopkins University also announced an agreement to create an entry pathway for Goucher undergraduate students pursuing a master’s degree at Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing.
In addition to being ranked by U.S. News & World Report for the college’s impact on social mobility, this spring Georgetown University’s Center on Education and the Workforce report placed Goucher College in the top 4% of all public and private colleges nationwide, while a Third Way study ranked Goucher in the top 7% of all nonprofit colleges for return on investment (ROI) for low-income students.
This fall, Goucher also welcomed five new faculty members to campus in biological sciences and chemistry, communication and media studies, music, and psychology.
In addition to the U.S. News & World Report accolades, The Princeton Review also recently named Goucher College one of the nation’s best institutions for undergraduates in the 2023 edition of its annual college guide, The Best 388 Colleges.
