New Director of Residential Life

Dear Goucher Community,

I hope this message finds you well and you are enjoying a wonderful start to the summer season. My name is Dr. Terence J. Turner (Dr. T or Turner is fine), and it is with great enthusiasm and honor that I introduce myself as the new director of residential life at Goucher College.

With about a month until Move-in Day, I want to take this opportunity to express how excited I am to join the Goucher community and work with your students to create a vibrant, supportive, and enriching living environment. At Goucher College, we believe that the residential experience is a crucial part of a student’s holistic development, and we are committed to ensuring that each student feels at home, supported, and empowered to succeed.

As we prepare for the upcoming academic year, I encourage both you and your students to use this summer as a time to recharge, refocus, and realign yourselves holistically. This period of rest and reflection is essential for personal growth and well-being. Encourage your students to take time for self-care, pursue their passions, and set goals for the year ahead. Whether it’s spending quality time with family and friends, engaging in meaningful hobbies, or simply taking a break to relax and rejuvenate, these moments of renewal will pave the way for a successful and fulfilling fall at Goucher.
