This one-credit course is designed to help students studying engineering science get up to speed quickly as they begin their college studies, while also orienting them toward the kind of real-world problem-solving that will be at the heart of their education.

Students will refresh their knowledge and familiarity with math topics at the pre-calculus level by working on their applications to some typical engineering-style problems. Students will learn through hands-on experimentation, and brush up on computing skills by working with Microsoft Excel as a science tool. The course will help new students become more prepared, confident, and ready for their first semester.
