FRESH CHECK DAY
September 22nd 2021 from 12 – 3 pm: Fresh Check Day 2021 will take place in person, outside of Mary Fisher Hall on Van Meter Highway! Fresh Check Day is an uplifting mental health promotion and suicide prevention event that includes interactive expo booths, peer-to-peer messaging, support of multiple campus departments and groups, free food, entertainment, and exciting prizes and giveaways. The event aims to create an approachable and hopeful atmosphere where students are encouraged to engage in dialogue about mental health and helps to build a bridge between students and the mental health resources available on campus, in the community, and nationally. I WILL LISTEN WEEK
October 3rd – 9th 2021: Listening can be one of the most powerful ways to support someone facing mental health challenges. Sponsored by the National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI) Metro Baltimore, I Will Listen week encourages open and honest conversations about mental health. The campaign brings together college campuses, workplaces, and other communities to start conversations, learn more about mental illness, and to understand what stigma is and how to overcome it. Be on the lookout for tabling, activities, and giveaways over the course of the week and stay tuned for a schedule of events!

JED Campus is a signature program of The Jed Foundation (JED) designed to guide schools through a collaborative process of comprehensive systems, program and policy development with customized support to build upon existing student mental health, substance use and suicide prevention efforts.

New videos and infographics will be posted every Tuesday at 12pm EST on the Gopher App and The Student Counseling Center YouTube! channel. Learn tips and tricks to navigate challenges and manage your mental health.

Wellness Wednesdays are monthly events during tailored for all areas of wellness to help you improve your overall health. No need to sign up. Just show up. Be present. Be yourself. Check back for times and dates for upcoming events!
