New Student Roadmap
The New Student Roadmap is your guide to the steps to complete prior to your arrival on campus. This process contains five steps, and prior to the start of each step, you will receive an email that provides you further information and links to the various steps to complete for each "stop" on your roadmap.
Please print a copy of the New Student Roadmap to keep track of your own progress by checking off the tasks as you complete them.
Step 1 Academics
Each item on is accessed through the Admissions and Financial Aid Status Portal. Instructions on how to complete these items are emailed to the student, once the process begins.
- Complete and submit the academic advising questionnaire.
- Sign and submit the financial responsibility agreement.
- Complete the foreign language placement and/or submit a writing portfolio (if applicable to you).
Step 2 Living on, or commuting to, campus
- Complete housing application. The housing application is sent from residentiallife@goucher.edu.
- Complete and submit health forms. Have all forms completed and submitted by the day you move onto campus.
- Submit your profile picture ("selfie") to selfie@goucher.edu before the day you move onto campus.
- Register your car for Goucher College parking (optional).
Step 3 Financial obligations
- Accept, or decline, any pending financial aid.
- Confirm all required documentation is submitted.
- Grant access to your billing statement to family member(s) through Goucher's e-billing website.
- Set up your refund preference with BankMobile to ensure any refunds due are processed immediately.
- Report all outside scholarships using the Outside Scholarships Form.
- Opt out of health insurance (if applicable).
Step 4 Engage with campus life
- Complete new student surveys.
- Complete required online training modules prior to your arrival. Training modules and login information will be sent in an email to you.
- Read the summer read, My Time Among the Whites, by Jeannine Capo Crucet, and complete your essay.
Step 5 Prepare for arrival!
- Review the Move-In website to see what to pack.
- Learn more about having an on-campus job, and what paperwork you might need to bring with you to get signed up.
- Review the Fall Orientation schedule.
- Invite your family to attend New Student Convocation with you!
