New Student Programs
Welcome to Goucher College! You're probably excited (and maybe a little nervous) about coming to college. There are so many new things to see, do, and learn on campus. But you probably have a ton of questions, which is why Goucher provides new student programs!
New Student Programs provides educational and social outreach to all new undergraduate students at Goucher. Visit the Office of Student Engagement & New Student Programs in Mary Fisher Hall to find our very helpful staff! Contact us by telephone (410) 337-6124 or by email, firstyear@goucher.edu or ose@goucher.edu.
We work with new and arriving students to navigate their transition to Goucher, and are available to answer questions or address concerns in the best ways we are able.
Your journey to Goucher College begins with the New Student Roadmap. This checklist is your guide to the steps you will complete prior to your arrival on campus. If you have questions as you complete your roadmap requirements, please contact welcome@goucher.edu.
You'll arrive on campus for move-in and receive information on when to do so from the Office of Residential Life. Here's a brief list of what to pack (and what you should leave home).
New Student Orientation is the next opportunity students have to get to know the campus, meet and make new friends, and start to feel at home at Goucher. In Goucher Guide groups, led by a peer student leader (the "Goucher Guide") with at least a year of experience on campus, new students get to see and experience the campus with the experts. This important and required program is your official welcome to Goucher College, introducing you to traditions, important people and places, as well as outlining requirements and showing you "the ropes" of coming to Goucher College. New Student Orientation is scheduled for Sunday, January 26, and is required for all new Goucher undergraduate students.
Our first day of school is Monday, January 27, 2025.
