By the time you graduate with your M.F.A. in Nonfiction, you will be able to:

  1. design and write a longform work of nonfiction worthy of publication.
  2. employ a skillful balance of factual information and storytelling craft in your work.
  3. understand different aspects of the publishing business and develop strategies for navigating it.
  4. distinguish between forms of classic and contemporary nonfiction by writers with diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
  5. analyze and critique the work of other writers with curiosity, empathy, and respect.
  6. identify how your writing aligns with and differs from the greater body of nonfiction work.
