A lecture by Devoney Looser
2008 Burke Scholar-in-Residence
2008 Burke Scholar-in-Residence Devoney Looser, author of British Women Writers and the Writing of History, 1670-1820, uses the correspondence of Austen contemporary Jane Porter to hypothesize about Jane Austen's experiences in Bath, England.
Associate Professor of English and literature coordinator at the University of Missouri-Columbia, Dr. Looser has written extensively on Jane Austen and is currently at work on two book-length projects.

Vivienne Shub performs The Cone Sister, a play by Naomi Greenberg-Slovin. The one-woman show chronicles the lives of renowned art collectors Etta and Claribel Cone.
