Reception for A Charmed Love: The Baltimore of Sara Haardt and H.L. Mencken, 1923-1935
The program features historian Marion Elizabeth Rodgers '81, who will have copies
of her newest book H.L. Mencken: The Days Trilogy, Expanded Edition for sale and signing. Ed Wortek, Goucher professor of art and art history, will display
and reflect on his photographs of Mencken's Baltimore, past and present. German-inspired
hors d'oeuvres and locally brewed beer will be served at this celebration.
This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Goucher College Library and the Isabelle
Kellogg Thomas English Lectureship Fund.
