Baroque Dances 1690-1780
Dancers dressed in beautiful period costumes perform Baroque dances recapturing the
elegance of courtly French Menuets, Bourees, Allemands, Gigues, Sarabands, Loures,
Cotillions, and lively English Country Dances and reels that Europeans loved to dance.
The program includes proper deportment, etiquette and conversation of eighteenth century
ladies and gentlemen.
Chorégraphie Antique can present the same informative presentation structuring the
first person narrative form into a lecture/demonstration with audience participation.
Both the concert and lecture-demonstration format can be performed to taped music.
