World War II Period

Chorégraphie Antique makes history come alive by performing dances which were danced in USO Clubs during World War II. Eight dancers dressed in military uniforms and vintage dresses swoop, swirl, dip and glide through the dances of the 1940s': the Foxtrot, waltz, tango, the shag, rumba, jitterbug, victory polka, and conga to popular dance tunes of "In the Mood", "Charmaine", and "Dancing in the Dark".

This program recreates a USO Club complete with soldiers dancing with Junior Hostesses reflecting American society during World War II through dancing, music, and narration.
